As former MOE teachers, HODs, Senior Teachers and PSLE markers, we are able to discern why P3 and P4 students get stuck below 14/20, and why P5 and P6 students can’t score above 30/40. More importantly, we are able to help them overcome these limitations.

At Cognitus Academy, our Writing Enrichment Programme focuses on strategies that tap on students’ creativity and align with MOE’s assessment requirements. The Writing Enrichment Programme guides the student from planning to concluding their compositions, covering the following aspects of Continuous Writing. Booster sessions ensure that students are able to apply these skills across a variety of theme under the careful coaching of our teachers.

4 Foundational Sessions cover:

– Opening with a strong hook

– Developing engaging characters

– Crafting a captivating setting

– Building a suspenseful climax

– Language that enhances writing – grammar and vocabulary

– And more!

Booster Sessions cover the following themes:

Many writing courses may cover the same skills. What sets Cognitus Academy apart is our focus on Critical Reading and Writing, where we engage our students to think critically and apply reflective thinking in their writing. Our end goal is to develop students who can excel in writing and thinking.
