Cognitus Academy Teacher Training Programme
Teachers form the foundation of our English programmes and are screened meticulously and trained rigorously before they enter the classrooms to teach.
Having been a teacher trainer at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Dr Daniel Chua has not only crafted a solid curriculum for our students, but also an effective training programme for our teachers.
Cognitus Academy teachers are interviewed at least three times and must exhibit the following qualities:

All teachers appointed by Cognitus Academy undergo an intensive 3-month training programme in order to develop the following core competencies:
✅ Positive classroom culture
✅ Lesson preparation
✅ Lesson delivery
✅ Assessment and feedback
Whereas these competencies take months or even years to develop, the Teacher Training Programme puts the teacher on a strong footing at the start of their teaching journey.
During the training programme, teachers will be trained through the following modes:
Classroom observations (weekly for at least two months)
Reports of classroom observations and reflections (weekly)
Weekly review meetings with mentors
Weekly reading reports (see reading list below)

✅ Diagnostic reports of students’ weaknesses
✅ Sterling results achieved in internally conducted English exams at the PSLE, O, and A-Levels.
(Note: Our teachers must be able to achieve strong results before expecting students to do so.)
Apart from honing their craft in teaching, our teachers must develop academic and philosophical roots in their pedagogy by studying the following materials in-depth.

– Conduct regular classes and enrichment lessons for Primary and/or Secondary students

Requirements
– Degree from a reputable university
– Teaching experience in MOE schools or equivalent educational institutions
– Strong knowledge of MOE Primary and Secondary English syllabus
– Strong communication skills with children and parents
– Motivated and outcome-driven

We would like to invite suitable candidates to join our dynamic and dedicated team as a Curriculum Writer for our Secondary English and/or Integrated Programme curriculum.
As a Curriculum Writer, candidates will go through a 2-day briefing to understand the Critical Reading and Writing (CRW) Strategy used in Cognitus Academy’s English Programme. Subsequently, the Curriculum Writer will work independently to develop and refine lesson materials used in the programmes at Cognitus Academy.
Duties and Responsibilities
– Develop and write English lesson materials (including worksheets, answers and visual aids) according to CRW Strategy
– Refine lesson materials according under the supervision of the Head of Curriculum
– Deliver lesson materials in a timely manner.
Requirements
– Current or former MOE teacher with at least three years’ experience in an IP school
– Strong interest in English education
– Desire to explore innovative teaching approaches
– Demonstrated ability to work within deadlines
Terms of Contract
– $15-$50 per lesson package (commensurate with qualification and experience)
– 4 to 6 months

We are seeking a creative and driven Marketing Executive to support our marketing initiatives, content creation, and lead generation efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities
Content Creation & Production
Film and edit marketing content for social media, website, and marketing campaigns
Assist with basic video editing, post-production, and content optimisation
Ensure all content aligns with Cognitus Academy’s brand identity and messaging
Content Strategy, Graphic Design & Marketing Support
Support content planning and execution across digital platforms
Assist in developing marketing ideas and campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement
Monitor basic content and campaign performance and suggest improvements
Paid Advertising & Performance Analytics (Meta Ads)
Plan, set up, and manage paid advertising campaigns on Meta platforms (Facebook & Instagram) for enrolment, events, and brand awareness
Create and A/B test ad creatives, copy, audiences, and formats to optimise performance
Monitor key metrics such as reach, engagement, cost per lead (CPL), cost per acquisition (CPA/CAC), and conversions
Prepare simple performance reports and provide data-driven recommendations
Events & On-Ground Marketing
Assist with setup and execution of marketing events, workshops, and open houses
Support logistics, materials preparation, and on-site coordination
Capture photo and video content during events for post-event marketing use
Lead Generation & Sales Funnel Support
Support marketing initiatives aimed at generating leads
Assist in qualifying and funneling marketing leads to the sales team
Track and report on leads and campaign outcomes
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field (or relevant experience/portfolio)
Comfortable with filming and editing content using mobile devices or camera equipment
Basic understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, and campaign execution
Experience with video editing tools (e.g. CapCut)
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic analytics
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Interest in education and student-centric learning
Willingness to support weekend events and on-site activities when required
Terms of Contract
Probation Period: 1–3 months
Working Days:
First 6 months: Tuesday to Saturday (to acclimatise to team and Saturday operations)
After 6 months: Monday to Friday
Working Hours:
Weekdays: 10.30am – 7.30pm
Saturdays: 8.30am – 5.30pm
